Modified stock car racer PJ Peters has accomplished many goals since his career began in early 2014. With the support of his family, sponsors and close associates, the young speedster has enjoyed over 75 podium finishes, a prestigious “Rookie of the Year” award and has earned several driving championships and prestigious race wins!
All this before his 16th birthday!
PJ Peters began his driving career at just eleven years of age in Quarter Midget racing events sanctioned by USAC (United States Auto Club). His racing activities have already led him to speedways throughout New England to compete in local, regional and national events.
During his first season, 2014, he enjoyed an undefeated Sr. Novice campaign, set track records in the division and won the prestigious “Lou Sherman Memorial Race,” the “Eastern States Race,” the “Glen Reilly Memorial Race,” the “Novice Super Feature Cup Race” and the “Honda Feature Super Cup Race!”
In the 2015 Quarter Midget season PJ Peters’ star shined ever brighter! On his way to Light 160 and Senior Honda Driving Titles PJ won three “Eagle Race Trophies” and repeated as the “Lou Sherman Memorial Race” champion. He also won the “Senior Honda Cup Race” and earned three fast time medals! Throughout the 2015 and 2016 campaigns podium finishes were the norm!
The 2017 season was a giant turning point in the career of PJ Peters. After retiring from a highly successful Quarter Midget career at the end of the 2016 season, PJ graduated to Pro Four Modified competition and was again impressive from the start! After earning countless top finishes in the early part of the season, PJ really impressed fans and competitors in his last three starts finishing his rookie Pro Four Modified season with two feature race wins and a second place effort! His two victories came at the Waterford Speedbowl in Connecticut and the Monadnock Speedway in New Hampshire.
For the 2018 season PJ Peters debuted a brand new GRE-6 designed and fabricated Pro Four Modified stock car. Peters and his new car were literally unbeatable as he won all 12 of the races on the New England Pro Four Modified Tour. That impressive record led PJ to the prestigious New England Pro Four Modified Driving championship!
PJ Peters and his PJR Motorsports race team took a giant career step in 2020 advancing to the headlining Modified and SK Modified stock car divisions. The team will field two nearly identical race cars with current plans calling for the team to use No. 29.
